I’m often asked where I discover unique and gorgeous editions of classic books! In response to this FAQ, I’m excited to share the best tips and tricks for finding beautiful book covers along with the help with my friend, Jen of @StorybookStyle. Jen’s Instagram is absolutely inspiring and is one of the main sources I use to discover rare editions. Be sure to take a peek on her page – I know you will love it! See our advice on where to find beautiful book covers below…
1. Barnes and Noble Collectible Editions
One of the most reliable sources for discovering gorgeous book covers is Barnes and Noble Collectibles. B&N has a section on their website dedicated to their collectibles which is filled with stunning editions of beloved books. From The Little Mermaid and The Secret Garden to Persuasion and Black Beauty, there are over 100 thoughtfully-designed covers in this collection. One of the best parts is that Barnes and Noble consistently adds new books to this special collection so there is always something to look forward to!
2. eBay
Browsing through eBay often leads to finding beautiful vintage books! I gave a friend this gorgeous 1940s edition of Little Women from eBay as a Christmas gift one year and she adored it. When it comes to eBay shopping, it’s always helpful to save your searches so that you receive an email or text whenever something is listed with your saved criteria. To save a search, just type something into the search field and tap the heart next to the word “save.” You will then be prompted to choose how you wish to receive alerts and then click “save” again. Another helpful feature on eBay is the “similar sponsored items” you see under each listing. Looking for beautiful editions of books is the best type of treasure hunt and the search is half of the fun!
3. The Book Depository
The Book Depository is a great source for new books. They always have the latest editions and offer free shipping!
4. Book Finder
If you’re searching for a particular past edition of a book and have the ISBN, it’s always helpful to use bookfinder.com. BookFinder will list every place the edition is available online, as long as the ISBN is included in the listing. This resource is particularly helpful in locating sought-after out-of-print editions!
5. Rifle Paper Co.
The gorgeous floral-themed lifestyle brand, Rifle Paper Co., has an absolutely stunning collection of classics including Alice and Wonderland, Anne of Green Gables, Little Women, Heidi, and A Little Princess. You can find these by clicking on the books below! They’re also available on the Rifle Paper Co. website and Amazon.
I hope these tips are helpful as you hunt for beautiful editions of your favorite books! A big thank you to Jen of @StorybookStyle for contributing her valuable advice to this post.
